From 2012-2015, the blog I founded, Nola Studiola was a collaboratively curated platform that showcased artists in and out of New Orleans. I established the digital space in order to build connections with artists in a variety of genres and to help increase communication between artists in New Orleans and the rest of the country. Interviews and guest curators included novelist Andrew Ervin, Food 52’s Amanda Hesser, memoirist Lidia Yuknavitch, NYT food writer Martha Shulman, multimedia artists and poet collaborators Lauren Erdrich and Sierra Nelson.
In 2013, New Orleans arts and culture magazine NolaVie was a content partner with Nola Studiola.
A short video interview about my purpose in starting the blog can be found here.
